Diamond Studded Text Effect in Photoshop
This effect was shown by one of my very close colleague, who is also a designer. She designs jewelery. Once she she had an assignment to design Jewels for a business tycoon. When she had finally completed the designing part and making the basic shapes of the necklace, I asked her how she was planning to give it a diamond studded look. She smiled at me and told me ”Its a piece of cake” . I was so amazed as to how simple effects , when used in the right way can give some phenomenal results. So here is a piece of cake for you guys. Enjoy !!
Open a New Document . A rectangle preferably.
Fill it with white . Then if your default foreground to background colors are not black and white, then press D to make them to default colors. Add a Foreground to transparent gradient on the top and bottom as shown.
Just choose a good font and type any word of your choice, make sure its nice and bold.
Make the fill opacity to 0%
Finally just add the effect as shown below
Here is the final result. If you have not got this kind of result check the angle and gloss contour in the bevel and emboss section. Make sure you uncheck Use Global Light
