A Famous Online Game Logo Recreation in Illustrator

Here’s quick and cool way of recreating the famous online game which millions of people play. Try creating this with your own name or something innovative.

This tutorial is so simple that many of us just ignore it or have never really tried it. But the results are so amazing, it really fascinates me to create some more tutorials like this in illustrator. Illustrator is so cool. Since photoshop is not as good in making outlines the way illustrator does, I have used specifically used illustrator. So lets get started.

Open a new document , any size you want. A4 size is fine and landscape orientation is preferable. Just a fill it with a bright color, in this case I have used yellow. I have used the font Badaboom BB, Just google it and you will find it, may be you might find better ones than this.

MAke the first letter bigger than the others like this one below. Opt + right/left arrow increases or decreases gap between the letters ( windows : alt + right/left arrow)

Go to  Windows> Gradients , create a gradient like this one: lighter orange to darker orange, add it to the swatches panel

Go to  Windows> Gradients , create a gradient like this one: lighter blue to darker blue, add it to the swatches panel

Click the red rectangle box as shown to add new swatch color and add the gradient fill which you just added to the swatches panel

The Gradient should land in left to right position like this

Just go to the gradient button on the left panel and change the position to top and bottom

Add a white stroke with size 9 to 10 , or what ever you like

The stroke should fall on top of the character like this, not to worry. Just drag and drop the stroke position to below the character position in the appearance panel and it show fall behind the letters

Click the Fx icon and goto stylize and drop shadow

The values for the shadow can be as shown below

Duplicate the first word and move it to the right as you would in photoshop. Option/atl click and shift drag the word to the right

Click the type tool and change the word to Ville

Again you can alter the gap between the letter with option/alt  + right arrow

Add the blue gradient to the word ville,  just like you did for the orange gradient in the word Barns

Select the pen tool and make the fill to white and stroke to none . Draw the shape as shown to all the letters, making it look like a shine  or a beveled look. You have have to give a little bit of curve shape when drawing over the letters such as R and S

Reduce the opacity of all the shapes  to 73 % by selecting all at once (shift click all the shapes). This lets the color to pass thru the shapes giving it a bit of depth . Try it with 100% opacity you will see the difference.

Once completed , You logo should look some thing  or exactly like this or may be much better than this.
